Who We Are

Kolektif Reparasyon Avansman Kreol (KRAK) is a civil society organisation dedicated to advancing reparatory justice, dignity, and equal rights for the Mauritian Kreol community.

Our Mission & Vision

KRAK operates as a global advocacy, legal, and policy platform focused on reparatory justice for the Mauritian Kreol people — the initial community and First Nation People of Mauritius, present since 1638. Our goal is to amplify the Repair Campaign: to make the world hear, recognise, and act upon centuries of injustice rooted in slavery and colonialism.

The "Malaise Créole" represents the ongoing struggle for identity, recognition, and equal opportunity faced by the Kreol community in Mauritius — a legacy of historical injustice with deep present-day consequences that demand urgent remedy.
